All About Ellie

Ellie052

Hi! I’m Ellie.

Three words my friends would probably use to describe me are energetic, positive, and happy. I LOVE my family and friends, art (my favorite types are painting and photography), food (especially dessert), books, animals, being outside, running, biking, practicing yoga, and going on adventures! I also enjoy baking and food blogs, which is why I am writing one.

This blog details delicious vegan food and living a vegan lifestyle in high school college!

My Vegan Story: I’ve been vegan for almost five years. My journey towards veganism started on the third day of high school, when I started a 28-day “detox” with my family. For the detox, we tried living a vegan lifestyle for 28 days. I enjoyed the detox and loved learning about veganism and making (and tasting) vegan food. After the detox, I went back to eating meat and dairy. However, I found meat revolting and dairy didn’t taste as good as it used to. So, I stopped eating meat, dairy, and eggs. I’ve been vegan since December 2012 and haven’t looked back!

I hope you have fun checking out my blog and finding yummy recipes, useful tips, and anecdotes detailing living a vegan lifestyle in college.

P.S.- follow me to get even more vegan yumminess!

Hi Ellie! Just wanted to say that I’m not vegan but I’m loving lots of your recipes already, I had to follow! Definitely trying the banana bread and the pesto bowl. Looking forward to seeing more great recipes! Keep it up! And I applaud you for being so healthy and cooking so much (and well) at your age!

Congratulations. You are way ahead of your time. You have a better understanding of health thank most people twice your age. I hope you continue to seek knowledge to help shape your future outlook on life. In my opinion, it is all about BALANCE. The more we work toward this goal, the happier we become. Wishing you continued success on your journey.

Really like your blog – have just been trawling through practically every single page! The recipes look amazing, definitely going to have to add them to the ‘to make’ list. Also the photography on this page especially is lovely!

Thank you so much, Imogen! YAY!
These pictures are actually from my senior photoshoot (since at my school seniors have to get their own photos for the yearbook). They were really fun to take! I look forward to connecting with you more 🙂

I just found your blog and I’m obsessed with it! I feel like we have so much in common! I’m 17, vegan, live in west Michigan (Greenville), and play tennis (I’m not very good, though haha)
